Who Put That Gray Hair There?

I was looking at myself in the mirror before leaving to work and huh…what is that? Could it be? Oh my goodness! It’s a gray hair in my eyebrow! My first gray hair on my eyebrow. It was sticking out like a sore thumb. How long has it been there? It’s pretty long, so it must’ve been there for a while surrounded by the dark ones. And no one had the decency to point it out?

I yelled to hubbs from the bathroom and he yelled back “I found a few of them myself and I’ve plucked them.” Of course you did, I thought to myself, with a full set of gray hair why wouldn’t you pluck a few of them from your eyebrows?

I looked back at the mirror. I must’ve looked at it for a while contemplating if I should pluck it. I didn’t. I went to work with it.

  1. Yay! So glad you went to work with it! Funny, I just noticed my first gray hair, and I almost plucked it. Then I said, “I love you.” 🙂
Many blessings … good to reconnect with you!

  2. Haha – I remember that first one – the SHOCK! Yikes… Now they’re growing everywhere – the person who discovers a way to zap those strong white hairs will definitely make £millions!!

  3. I think people should embrace every little thing that comes in their lives, even grey hair! 😀 I even believe that grey hair is a symbol of our maturity and wisdom! 🙂 🙂 🙂 I know it sounds silly, but I’m glad you didn’t plug it out! 😀 Leave it, wear it with pride! ^_^

  4. I had moved many times in my life, and therefore didn’t ever see people aging around me. I went to my daughters talent show, after living in the same place for 5 years, and realized the adults around me were showing signs of aging. The next day, my first gray hair…

  5. I do wonder why people hate their grey hair so much! I think grey hair is a gift from the moon! When the moon laughs, her eyes produce tears of joy that fall to the earth and onto the tops of people’s heads!

  6. Good for you! Embrace the grey! I let my hair grow out a few years ago and am so glad I did. No one notices the grey in my eyebrows because they are looking at my (almost) waist length grey head of hair.

    1. I believe your avatar had a recent photo of yourself with grey hair. It looks great. I have a few gray hairs on my temple now. I’ll make that decision when there’s more salt than pepper on my head.

  7. Yikes! I had scads of grey in my left brow. I didn’t pluck either, but just recently stopped driving by this brow joint, and went in. As good fortune would have it, and because turning 61 means more grey I imagine, I was able to not only get a well shaped brow, but a dyed dark brown brow. Now I don’t even have to put anything on either of them, ’cause it’s permanent for a month or so. I might not have mentioned this process to anyone, but when you find a solution for something like this, you want to tell someone. I was therefore prompted to share with you. I’m chuffed, by the way!!!

        1. My sweet lady
We’re getting older…and from experience.. that’s hard to accept.. and we try to put it off as long as we can.
yes .. we do embrace our age and getting older.. but all the changes that comes with it.. so we tend to hide those gray hairs as long as they allow us to.. and I push back my age.. by 10 to 15 years.. trying to freeze my younger look 👀 a little longer.
