What’s an Aura?

Journeyers. Have you ever noticed someone who made you feel good simply by looking at him/her? Ever observed someone for the first time and knew there was something off with that person, even though he/she never said a word to you? It’s all because of their aura.

An ‘aura’ field can be defined as a luminous glow that surrounds a person’s body, almost like a halo.  You may have seen ancient depictions of religious and spiritual figures with this glow surrounding their heads.

Today, modern science is discovering that we are all, in fact, surrounded by this type of colored band of sound, light, and vibration. It’s not just above our heads but it also extends all around our body, and it can affect the way we feel.  It is a natural component of our body and it represents our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual energies.

Scientific research have found an aura is an electromagnetic field of energy that extends all around our body about 4-5 feet (in an average healthy body) and appears to be depleted in cases of an unhealthy person.

The aura holds a multitude of information about ones past and current situation. The vibration is subtle, so we need very fine instruments to detect it such as a special camera or machine, or we can use our inborn intuitions.

Below is a simple aura color chart for your enjoyment.

  1. So much that we cannot see with the human eye and understand with the brain…Thanks for sharing. I have a poetry blog here on WordPress and today’s poem is about a double rainbow in case you have time to look? Colourful greetings, Sam 🙂

    1. In a relaxed and meditative state, sit facing a mirror. Have soft, indirect lighting around you and a plain undecorated wall behind you. Open your eyes slowly and look at your reflection in the mirror. Let your eyes go somewhat out of focus (almost like squinting) and gaze at the area around your body in the mirror, not directly at yourself. It’s going to take practice but you should begin to see a glowing light around your body. I have a few friends who can see aura’s and it takes a lot of concentration/focus. I don’t see aura’s. Good luck.

  2. there is a lot more to aura than the colour. There is the width and strength of an aura, both are important to our well-being. eve

  3. I’m a believer and this is amazing. It is all energy and frequency that we emit, drawing in some as well as turning off others. I once did a simple test based on questions to determine my aura and I believe it was blue. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day. 💙

      1. woah, human presence can influence a coin flip! That is crazy stuff. Sounds like there is a lot we still don’t understand. Thanks for sharing!
