The Universal Law of Reflection

My son called the other night to ask for advice about something his girlfriend, and he went thru earlier in the day. I didn’t have anything to say except “did you express your concerns with her”? No. “Well, maybe, you should”. And we left it at that. Most often than not, we repeat the same scenario or conversation in our heads but not with the person we should be speaking with.

The following day, it dawned on me what was going on with them: The Universal Law of Reflection.

Every person in your life, be it relative or friend is a mirror of an aspect of you. The same is true for every situation in your life. It allows you to see your inner self in the mirror.

For example, someone who’s angry triggers fear in you. If you’re in a traffic jam, it triggers impatience. It is showing you the energy you are holding by HOW you react to the situation or person.

The more a characteristic in someone else bothers you, the more your soul is trying to draw a reflection to your attention. You cannot blame any external factor, person, or situation.

You don’t go changing the other person, instead, you change within. It’s that simple. When you change within, you eventually won’t be triggered by it. Life will flow.

Sounds off the wall?

Let me share this with you. In my course, we have a buddy system where we’re  required to meet online once a week. Every week, my buddy would get on late or cancel at the last minute. This triggered me e-v-e-r-y time. At first, I was stomped. Why was I paired up with him? Seriously?!  I knew he wasn’t doing it on purpose, it is who he is.Then like a ton of bricks, feelings of not being acknowledged and respected came through.

We took a break from each other to work things out on our own. I guess I triggered him too.

I know now I was teamed up with him in order for the unresolved energies to be revealed. I was placed in that situation to learn from it and resolve it and I thanked him for that. Darn, Law of Reflection – it can creep up on you unexpectedly.

  1. Hi Bernice,
Seems so long since we chatted.
I apologise for neglecting your blog.
Thank you for visiting mine and a happy and peaceful new year to you & yours.
This blog post seemed particularly relevant for me yesterday & it seems I need to reflect further.
    Take care ❤️

    1. No worries. I’m guilty of not reading posts when I don’t have the time. There may be a few bloggers who decided to unfollow me because of it. 😉 Happy New Years to you as well. 💜💙

  2. This is a very enlightening post, Bernice. It reminds me of something happened to me recently. To me, Law of Reflection is a new way of thinking. A great one. Thank you for sharing.

  3. Great post Bernice!
This law of reflection is a brilliant teaching that I had never heard of until now. I am aware of the law of attraction, vibration and even gravity. But not the Universal law of reflection. Thank-you for this aha moment!! I’ll remember this when people start to irritate me at work. Although, this doesn’t happen too often 🙂
I hope you had an awesome Christmas and New Year! 🎄🙏
    Dave 🙂

  4. Nice points! Everyone in our lives is there to teach us something, but sometimes we cannot see it in time. The ideal is to see everything and everyone as a learning opportunity.

    1. You got that right. We’re always learning. I remember a saying that went something like “in life, you’re given a test that teaches you a lesson”. Take care.

  5. Yes yes yes yes yes! Love this! Whenever something irritates me or I get mad with someone / something, I do try to think… what is this teaching me? What can I learn from this? I try to see it from their point of view too. Love learning, it’s so important! Thanks for this reminder Bernice, I love it!

  6. It is perfection in itself. The most beautiful teacher, the most loving reflection to which we will finally have the courage to face.
    Great post Bernice, wisdom from the heart 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 🦘
