Two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument and one friend slapped the other one in the face.
The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:
“Today my best friend slapped me in the face.”
They kept on walking, until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him.
After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:
“Today my best friend saved my life.”
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, “After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone. Why?”
The other friend replied,
“When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.”
Love this ❤
Thank you. 🙏
Good one Indeed Thumbs up for this 🙂
Thanks for the encouragement!

Very nice approach to life👍👍great post🙋
It’s a little inspiration for the week. 😊
🙂💐🙋
Very true… though easier said than done when you have to repeatedly write things in the sand that a friend does to you… how many times until you want to write the hurt in stone?
I agree though that forgiveness is a personal relief… 🙏🏻😌
‘ So shines a good deed in a naughty world ‘

Thank you 🙏
Forgiveness is a theme for me lately. Great post!
Something you may have to look within a little more, eh?
Have been. ❤️
So true Bernice. I read somewhere saying that when we forgive someone who hurts us, we actually free ourselves. We’re no longer caught up in grudges and miserable feelings. A great story!
Yes, that’s exactly it! Thanks for sharing.
Well said, the sincere and loving ones should be forgiving. However, not everyone always deserves your mercy.
Have a great day. 🙂
Very true.
But not that easy to do for many people.
Have a great day and weekend.

I agree with you, especially when you’re trying to find the positive in someone that has hurt you.
Very nice story, I think I will use it in my next Monday post. Thank you.
Glad you liked the story as much as I did. Enjoy your weekend.
What a lovely approach to life!
It surely is. It may not be easy to forgive but when you do it’s freeing.
True that
