Self Care is Important

Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel ~ Eleanor Brownn

You wont be remembered by the titles or the number of awards you received; but by how you treated others.

The service you provide to others is a highly significant action, and in doing so, you’ll find a broad sense of fulfillment. However, it is also necessary to maintain a level of service to oneself.

To replenish, and renew your spirit, is a level of self-care that is necessary to be of the highest service to others.

  1. It took me years to learn this. And for years I was on medication for depression and anxiety. I have always been a people-pleaser. Always going out of my way to be there for others and sacrificing my own state of mind in the interim. I love that I have helped people get through hard times. But it took SO long for me to know the importance of taking care of myself first. v important.

    1. Haven’t had the time to write or read other blogs. I’ve been packing up and throwing out and scouting for a new place to live. Hope you’re doing well.

  2. Recently I’ve felt the need to step back and reconnect with who I really am. In order to go forward, I need expand that which I already am. But to do that, I have to step back from what I am doing sometimes.

  3. This is SO true! And many times we’re so busy trying to tend to the needs of others, that we forget about ourselves. Self-care should always be #1 because without our health, we don’t have the same capacity to help other people and be of service. Love this!
