Next Chapter in My Life

“Life is like a book. Some chapters are sad, some are happy, and some are exciting, but if you never turn the page, you will never know what the next chapter has in store for you.”

Today was the closing of our house. I did not think about what if…I went to the closing with an open mind and a smile and came out with a bigger smile.

I glamorized people who lived alone —and perhaps secretly I wanted it for my own. I never lived alone until today.

I hear the benefits of living alone are many: freedom to come and go as you please; space and solitude to recharge in a plugged-in world; taking domain over the bed, etc.

As my son mentioned to me the other day “If you feel like walking around naked who’s to know?” Hmmm maybe if there are no mirrors around.

I’m knee deep in boxes and there’s plenty of them. I really have to purge again. I opened one box and thought to myself “why did I pack this up?  It should’ve gone straight to the garbage”.

It’ll take some time before I get the place looking to how I want it and make it “my own.”

For now, I’m going to enjoy getting to know myself again.

And if I leave a bra on the kitchen table, I may not think much about it.

And I love, love, love the thing about leaving a bra on the table – or at least leaving your options open. 🙂

Be in touch anytime. You are a sweetheart.
    Love and Light,
    Debbie
