I’m writing this post while watching “Homeland” and eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
When hubs mentioned he was going out with a friend of his and I was going to have the house to myself, I was like, yes! I haven’t had the house to myself in so long I had it all worked out.
Doing that load of laundry
Doing that second load of laundry
Taking my dog for a 10-mile run
Baking a cheesecake from scratch
Writing naked
Nailing that impossible one hand yoga pose
Reading holy books
You know where I’m going with this
Here’s how my day looked.
Taking my dog in the backyard
Laying on the couch
Checking emails
Watching trashy television
Eating yesterday’s leftover,
Chocolate muffin and coffee,
and potato chips with dip
Dammit…he just called. He’ll be home in less than an hour. Oh well, I better pick up the crumbs I left behind.
I’ll try to solve world peace another day.
Nice POST <3 <3 <3
L…O…L
In my view, those moments alone should be reserved for stuff you want to do for yourself…and no responsibilities at all. Unfortunately, my wife doesn’t feel the same…(as I’ve come to learn the hard way).
On another note though, I have a questionnaire for you…near the end of this:

Peanut butter and jelly – yum!! Sounds a lot like my days alone at home 🙂 The. Best.Ever.
😀
so funny-happens to me too. I am so overwhelmed that “it is all mine” when I am alone! then I make great plans and do none of them!
Love it! Despite my best intentions you just described how many of my days turn out. Oh well, enjoy!
You’re funny. You know what, I need more days like this. 🙂 Enjoy the rest of your week.
You’re funny. As you can imagine, I need more days like this. 🙂
Go for it! 🙂
I just read your first sentence and went and made myself a peanut butter and jam sandwich.
and now I’m reading the rest of the blog…
Ha, ha…it’s so good when you don’t want to cook.
Sounds like heaven!
Or almost like it. 🙂
Your dog is adorable! 🙂
I think so. 🙂
YES!
Sounds like the perfect day 😉
Ha ha…it was fun.
Then it was perfect 🌹
😂
I can totally relate ! Due to family commitments, we often have separations of a week or more, and my first day is always about self-indulgence, but it doesn’t last too long. Enjoy it while you can.
I don’t necessarily get the house to myself. Although it was short, I enjoyed myself.
Haha. There in lies the truth behind the saying “The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry”. But on the plus side, sounds like you got in some all important relaxation 🙂
Exactly. Lol. Time went by too fast though.
