Do You Feel The Shift In The Air?

My house says to me, “Do not leave me, for here dwells your past.” And the road says to me, “Come and follow me, for I am your future.” And I say to both my house and the road, “I have no past, nor have I a future….”(Kahlil Gibran)

Journeyers, do you feel the shift in the air?  We reached the top of the mountain with the year almost over! 🤗

This year, we’ve had a few ups and downs because we needed to feel these emotions and move from it. It also allowed us the opportunity to leave behind situations not aligned with our personalities and our path.

With these changes, I have determined for myself that true transformation can only emerge from within each individual.

I know I have changed in a very significant way this past year. I have softened my awareness to tune into my own inner wisdom.

                                                          wisdom

Emotions intensify this time of the year as people around the world celebrate with traditional religious services, music, and festivities with family and all the negative things that are happening in our world may easily affect us.  Our attention is often on what’s wrong, rather than all the goodness that surrounds us.

If we want to change the outer world, we must first learn to transform our inner landscape. To live a happier, more fulfilled life, there is no better place to start than with the practice of gratitude.

It’s easy to blame the media and external events, but real change starts within and gives us the strength and fortitude to change the external world.

  1. I will bear these words in mind and in my heart. Currently having one of my battles with anger (I am very, very intolerant of intolerance you see.)
All this best to you for this Christmas season

  2. Yes! I started living from a place of gratitude around 2008, and that’s when the biggest blessings in my life began to take shape. Gratitude creates an attitude of happiness that I believe can’t be achieved any other way. Love this post!

  3. Great thoughts here… Definitely to look within before blaming people on the outside.. Thanks for this lovely reminder. x
