I look around and notice the older generation slowly slipping away and transitioning to the other side. Even a few of my friends left at a young age. I’m only a stone’s step away.
I’m grateful for the fond memories of friends and family who are no longer living on the physical plane. Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.- The Wonder Years
Life is to be experienced and enjoyed in the NOW. So let’s…
tell the people you love how much you love them.
share your heart. There’s no time to leave important words unspoken.
be kind for no reason.
do what scares you. Take a chance – be bold.
don’t run from your past – learn from it.
embrace getting older.
ignore what others think of you.
love yourself completely.
seek new friendships.
travel.
leave anger behind.
laugh as much as you can.
by inspired by your faith.
forgive yourself and others.
Anything else you want to include on the list?
Took my elder lady to the movies last night. What a treat – watching her happiness in her new adventure was a treat. The recliner chairs had her ohhh’ing over for quite a while. Everyone nearby adored her 🙂
Ooh I love those reclining chairs. It must’ve been a treat for her and you must’ve enjoyed seeing her in her glory!
It was sweet. All the way home she kept repeating “This is THE best day EVeR” 😉
Laurie – you definitely made her day. You’re so sweet and thanks for sharing.
Simple, powerful truths!
A perfect post. Now I feel like eating chocolate to let it settle in 🙂
Hahaha. We all have our weakness.
We do 🙂
I love, love, love this post. You hit on all the important things in life. Thank you, this was perfect.
It was a good refresher… we all know that NOW is the time but for whatever reason we all take time and life for granted! Your article reminded me of something that I had read somewhere….
“Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably & never regret anything that made you smile!”
I don’t know who owns credits to this line, but whoever does, kudos to him!!
You said it all. Good advice. Thanks Bernice.
You’re welcome!
You have a big heart, and it shows. 🙂
Ahh. I have a big kool-aid smile now.
Beautiful and so, so true
Great list. “Worry about tomorrow when it gets here” is on my list.

I loved this line, ’cause I am hearing it for the first time, in this list! Rest all have always been profoundly revered lessons a fulfilling life! And I do strive to follow them and seek to meet people who believe similarly! Thank you so much for the share!
Thanks my friend for sharing. Glad you did.
