Go Within

Whenever a friend of mine calls to ask a question and I knows she knows the answer, I usually say to her, “go within”. Shortly after, we laugh because we both know that’s not what she wants to hear.

The term has been tossed around for a while. So, what does it really mean to go within?

When someone tells you to go within, they are telling you to check in with your emotions. Check-in with your energy and see if you can put your finger on the “pulse” of your question.

We often go within without realizing it, for example, when we are daydreaming or minutes before going to sleep or when we wake up. And when we are doing repetitive tasks such as washing dishes, gardening, showering, etc.

Going within simply means to be with yourself, listen to yourself and your higher self, and feel yourself by calming the mind and clearing the clutter, allowing more space for your higher thoughts to enter your being. ~ ~ Michelle Walling

It’s really about being present in each moment and listening to your inner guidance’s small still voice.
