Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel ~ Eleanor Brownn
You wont be remembered by the titles or the number of awards you received; but by how you treated others.
The service you provide to others is a highly significant action, and in doing so, you’ll find a broad sense of fulfillment. However, it is also necessary to maintain a level of service to oneself.
To replenish, and renew your spirit, is a level of self-care that is necessary to be of the highest service to others.
It took me years to learn this. And for years I was on medication for depression and anxiety. I have always been a people-pleaser. Always going out of my way to be there for others and sacrificing my own state of mind in the interim. I love that I have helped people get through hard times. But it took SO long for me to know the importance of taking care of myself first. v important.

It surely is important. So glad you became conscious of the cycle you were in and made the choice to love yourself first. 🤗

Haven’t had the time to write or read other blogs. I’ve been packing up and throwing out and scouting for a new place to live. Hope you’re doing well.

Recently I’ve felt the need to step back and reconnect with who I really am. In order to go forward, I need expand that which I already am. But to do that, I have to step back from what I am doing sometimes.

Can totally relate. The reminder that dealing with issues and/or expanding our consciousness before we move ahead seems timeless. Blessings xo

Yep…many people would consider self-care to be selfish…but it’s not. It’s necessary.

This is SO true! And many times we’re so busy trying to tend to the needs of others, that we forget about ourselves. Self-care should always be #1 because without our health, we don’t have the same capacity to help other people and be of service. Love this!
