I stopped caring what anyone thought of me.
Most of the time you’ll do, or not do, what you want because you’re concerned with what other people think. I get it. I’ve been there many times before. So many hours are wasted thinking or even caring about someone else’s opinion about you, you become their prisoner. This holds you back.
It boils down to this. It doesn’t matter.
The only real thing that matters is what you think about yourself.
This is my life, at the end of the day, I am the only person who needs to approve of my own choices.
That does not mean that I’m not kind and I won’t try to get along with others. It only means that whatever anyone else thinks of me is not my problem.
This is what they think of me. It’s their perception of me. It’s their belief. It’s not my truth.
Now…there may be times when what they say may hurt or sting. If that happens, I’ll go within and ask “why did it bother me, was there some truth to it?” How I create/respond/react to that particular lesson is completely up to me.
Besides that, I’m not going to lose sleep over it.
great one. i think mine is totally opposite to yours. Please read my blog related to the same on http://fireinyoursoul.com/2017/02/24/motivational-side-of-caring/ Please follow for more .

Good for you and while we all look to contribute and be accepted by others, we also need to realize that there will always be people with their own opinions. Sometimes they favor us and others there is nothing we could do to please the critics. Once you stop caring, you will also reach the point where you will have achieved a dangerous amount of freedom. So here is yo you and way to go xo

Here here – I have found that as I’ve gotten older I am less concerned with others opinions about me. Yes it is good to reflect, but if we are aligned with our authentic selves then we are living out our truth, and that is what we must focus on, alignment over people pleasing! Great post xx

Amazing post and a great revelation. I have to tell myself the same in my writing. I had thoughts and ideas of what my audience wanted and tried to cater to that, but now I’m free of that. I’ll keep going with what I want no matter what others say (within some reason, of course).

I think it is good to give consideration to negative comments about oneself, sometimes those negative comments could be right. I especially believe in considering the comments of people who really don’t like you. They are often the only ones who will tell you the truth about yourself, since your friends are often too kind. Just a different way of looking at negative comments, for your consideration.

Wish you hadn’t said this. What I didn’t know didn’t bother me until I found out there was something I didn’t know and now it does bother me and I want to know.😼
