Sisters remember things you would rather forget. In graphic detail. With proof. Marions C. Garretty
I am the eldest of three sisters and, sis #1 reminds me I am the oldest every chance she gets 🙂
Reminiscent of our childhood, we may have been jealous, competitive, and telling on each other if we didn’t get our way, but at the end of the day, loving. We were always together playing house, games and jumping rope. We shared each other’s toys, dolls, clothes, and thank goodness, not our boyfriends.
The story we share may have a common ground, yet we don’t remember things the same way. I find it fascinating how we see situations and the way we behaved toward the situation slightly different. We laugh a lot and more often at ourselves.

We’re each unique with our distinct personalities and quirks. However, we’re bonded by blood, by family, by memories, and the unknown adventures of the future.
I watched my sisters grow up into beautiful, talented and confident women. We may not agree on everything, but as long as we respect each other’s visions and the choices we’ve made along our journey, it’s fine by me.
I love you my sistas!!!
beautiful……

I’m the youngest of 3 sisters and I recognise the ‘different perspectives’ on looking back at the past and you are right – we don’t always agree but when the chips are down we are all there for each other to help, love and support each other through thick and thin.. Laughter and Rain.. x

Sister. She is your mirror, shining back at you with a world of possibilities. She is your witness, who sees you at your worst and best, and loves you anyway. She is your partner in crime, your midnight companion, someone who knows when you are smiling, even in the dark. She is your teacher, your defense attorney, your personal press agent, even your shrink. Some days, she’s the reason you wish you were an only child.

I have two sisters and we are spread out bit– with the youngest being 10 years my junior. Beyond appearances we are three very different people. I wish were were closer, but I left the house when I was 17 and the middle one was always holding secrets it seems. I never lived in close proximity to any of them and of course we had our own problems. It is nice to see such a lovely group still sticking together. Blood should be thick.

Thanks Bonsai for sharing. I can relate on one aspect. The youngest and I have an 8 year difference. As adults we became closer.

Same here. I theorize that our middle sister spent her childhood in the shadows of my accident that occurred when she was only one. Her quiet, secretive…often sarcastic style are so hard to read.
