Dear God,
How can I feel so much despair?
I’m so tired of feeling lost.
My life is so dark.
Where is the beauty of life I once cherished?
My faith was strong
But now it’s light as a feather.
I’m a broken soul
with a smiling face.
I B E L I E V E D in you.
I believe in you.
I’m speaking to you
can you hear me?
I’M SPEAKING TO YOU LOUDER
CAN YOU HEAR ME?
I scream but nothing comes out.
My beloved, I guess you were too busy speaking
and not listening.
When you’re blind to your own strength
and only can see your own weakness
it makes for a completely incomplete picture
of who you really are.
I created you in my image
You’re perfect just the way you are.
Look within.
We need to communicate more often
So much to share and compare

It’s easy to lose faith when feeling despair. But we always find the core of our faith again when we look within.
Thanks for the reminder. Seen you over at Nikki’s weekend Meet and Greet party.

Well said. Often we spend so much time talking we don’t hear anything. Good to be reminded we have all we need and would know it if we would simply be still.

Wow, we’ve all been there. Crying out to God. Venting, hurting and worrying. But the minute we surrender it all, and stop trying to ‘fix it’ and are still; that is when we allow him to work in our lives. He waits for us to seek him with all our heart and therefore get to truly have an intimate relationship with him. We become strong through him.
I love this entry. It was deep and full of vulnerability.
Philippians 4:6 (NIV)
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Revelation 3:20
20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Powerful advice, Bernice. We have to always see our strengths, not our weaknesses.
