Never – Poem

Standing in your presence
Can be enchanting
I see ugliness.
I look into your eyes
The key to your soul
I see darkness.
You hold me tight in your arms
And lean towards me
To whisper “I love you”
I feel cold.
You smile at me
As wide as the ocean
I sense your hypocrisy.
I trusted you
You told me lies
One day I’ll find the person
One in a million
One person
